I think that the author of “Web 2.0: A Guide for Educators” described very well how education needs to keep up with technology. The younger generation uses the internet and other technology to communicate with one another. Technology has made the world work at a faster pace and it is important that education can keep up with that. To me School 2.0 is a way of education adapting to how the world has changed do to technology. All of the resources once used in schools are becoming obsolete. A student no longer needs to go to the library to research a topic for a paper or for any other assignment. It is all at the tip of their fingers and a click of a button. For schools to adapt to the rapidly growing use of technology is very important. Technology allows things to be transmitted to students faster and allows them to participate in things that they would not otherwise have been able to do without technology.
