Bookmarking is a great resource for teachers. It allows teachers to save information and go back to it later with ease. There are so many resources available for teachers and students now, and it would be impossible to remember everything. Delicious and Diigo are great websites that allow people to save their bookmarks and look at other websites others have bookmarked.
It amazing how easily teachers can now share resources with each other when most haven't even met. Websites like Delicious and Diigo are responsible for this. They are spaces for teachers to reach out and find idea, resources, and tools for classroom use.
After using Delicious, I found that it is a useful site. I found that I prefer Diigo though. Both of these sites are helpful and contain everything a bookmarking and networking site should. I think I prefer Diigo because it is what I am most used to and most comfortable using. I am definitely a creature of habit and although Delicious is a good source, I believe I will be sticking to Diigo.

Thing #15
It was fairly easy to get into the APSU sanbox and add what I wanted to the page. I added Pandora from my thing #6 into the wiki. I think that music is important and benificial in the classroom, especially with a younger age group. I am going to be teaching special education and I kno that music can be used in things such as lesson planning and everyday skills they need to learn.
I do not like that anyone can change and edit a page that you create. Because of this, important and valuable information could be removed or replaced with misinformation. There is no one leader of the group because everyone can change as much as they want, which I feel would be a problem in a classroom setting.

Thing #14
The flow chart site I chose to experiment with was Gliffy Flow Charts. I liked the large selection of bubble shapes. I also liked how easily it was to edit. I thought it was visually appealing which is very important, especially in an elementary classroom. The graphics seemed more up to date and that will be very important to students.
I also chose to explore bubble.us. It was interesting. I like how the color of the bubbles changed as you expanded the map. it had a wide variety of colors and had a great visual appeal. It was also very easy to figure out how to work. I would recommedt this to educators, and will most likely use it in my classroom.

Thing #13
I created an account on ZOHO and made a document using the ZOHO writer. I thought things about the ZOHO writer were helpful, such as the tabs and editing resources, just as in Word or other programs. The structures were very much alike. I liked that with this program, documents can be saved online and will be open for friends or colleagues, or students and parents to open and edit without any troubles. Because of this program, the hassle with jumpdrives would not be needed. It is saved online and on my computer. The only prroblem I had with this program is that it was difficult for me to figure out how to upload a picture.
Next I explored Google Docs. First, I made a simple drawing. The program was very similar to paint. Google Docs would be good for students who are working on a visual project. They would be able to edit and review work without having to be at the same place at the same time. I did not like the fact that people can make changes to a document without permission from the group.
Overall, I think the programs could be helpful to an extent, and I do like the easier method of sharing and open editing, but I think that I would most likely use the regular Microsoft program in the classroom.
